Founding Partner Nick Howland has over 20 years experience buying, running, growing and exiting $10m to $100m defense and security businesses owned by private equity and multinational firms.
Most recently, Nick was interim President of Patten Company, a Wing Group portfolio company. Prior to this, he served as interim President and Board Director of UK-based 3Si Group, which he guided through a successful exit to a French strategic buyer in October 2018 . Before 3Si, Nick was VP and Managing Director of Survitec Group Americas. The growth and efficiency initiatives implemented over 3 years by his team added $80m in value upon Survitec’s exit from Warburg Pincus in 2015.
Nick served as a U.S. naval officer from 1995 – 1999 and holds degrees from Duke University and the University of Chicago. He was recently appointed to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee (CFSAC). Nick is actively involved in veteran advocacy issues.
